These gloves are made of raw silk and used to offer the body a traditional Ayurvedic dry massage called Garshana. Incorporating a 5-minute massage into your daily routine will refresh the skin, stimulate the lymphatic system, increase blood circulation, combat cellulite, release accumulated toxins and increase energy. Suggested Garshana Practice: begin at the top of the head making small circular motions. You can also lightly massage the face using small circular motions from the center outward. Move to the neck and shoulder areas (avoiding the heart area) using long brush strokes. Continue to the arms with long strokes, incorporating circular motions at your wrists and elbows. Next, massage the abdominal area in a clockwise motion, the natural path of digestion. The lower back and hips/buttocks area can be massaged using the circular motion. Finish the massage with feet and legs using circular strokes for the knees and ankles, then long strokes for the feet and legs. Complete your routine with a shower to rinse the toxins and follow with your favorite oil or lotion.
