Gua sha is a traditional facial massage technique that uses gemstone tools to help release tension in the muscles of the face, support circulation and encourage lymphatic flow and drainage for healthy, more youthful looking skin. Rose Quartz is known for its strong vibrations of unconditional love, tenderness, joy and healing. This pink crystal is packed full of minerals and has an amazing ability to soothe irritation and support the renewal of skin cells.
Facial Massage: Start with your neck, using the larger side, move in long downward strokes. Repeat each stroke a couple of times. Move all the way around the neck to the sides of your spine and be sure to get up around your ears where there is a concentration of lymph nodes. Now it’s time to move on to your face. Start with your chin, moving from the middle of your face towards your ears. Repeat the process while moving up your face to your forehead. Use the smaller side along each eyebrow applying medium pressure. Gently trace under your eye from the inner corner towards your temple. Don’t pull or stretch your skin under the eye area.
Tips: Your skin should be properly lubricated. Apply vitamin C serum, collagen, hyaluronic acid cream, or your preferred facial moisturizer. Always massage towards the Lymph nodes, which are concentrated around the ears, beneath the chin, down the sides of the neck, and around the collarbone. Use single, long strokes moving in one direction. Keep the mushroom chilled in the fridge to amplify the detoxifying and cooling effect, this is especially good for the eye area. Gua Sha is best and most effective when done every day.
